Draft Zero Waste Regulation built on SDC Scotland report

Scottish Government is failing to future-proof the economy
Nearing the end of the parliamentary term the Sustainable Development Commission Scotland delivers a stark warning that the Government is putting Scotland’s long term prosperity at serious risk by failing to make the hard choices for a sustainable economy. The Scottish Government's Energy Efficiency Action Plan brings a more strategic approach to Government action. Previously there have been good individual initiatives but these have not been brought together. Action on energy efficiency by Government has been characterised by too many separate schemes or initiatives not being sufficiently linked together.

The Energy Efficiency Action Plan published by the Scottish Government today (Wednesday 6th October) has a comprehensive approach to reducing energy use in Scottish homes, businesses and transport sector.
