The lead author was AEA Energy & Environment, and the report presents a series of case studies on various tidal power proposals from around the UK. The report covers tidal barrages, tidal lagoons and tidal stream devices, and includes case studies (both proposed and theoretical) from the following locations: Strangford Narrows (Northern Ireland), Pentland Firth (north Scotland), Liverpool Bay (north Wales), Mersey Estuary (Merseyside), Loughor Estuary (south Wales), Duddon Estuary (Cumbria), Wyre Estuary (Lancashire). |
